PROTIP: PHOTOSHOP HISTORY

In more than one occasion I’ve nearly lost my mind when I thought I had saved over a file in photoshop.
I’m sure you have too!
For those of you who are lost, lemme explain:

I draw anywhere from 2-4 new pages of comic everyday.
Most of which I letter and color myself, so there is a mess of layers in my pages that I tend to use all the time.
Like word bubble object layers, lighting effect layers, special sfx font layers, border object layers.
So instead of having to recreate all of these settings on these layers, I simply erase the art work from said psd, and start the new page.
ALTHOUGH- SOMETIMES I FORGET TO SAVE IT AS A NEW FILE NAME.
1001 history states later i realize that I’ve been saving this file as the original, which means if i close this sucker… the art on my previous page will be GONE. FOREVER.
So for those of you who DO run into this problem— just click the history tab— and hit the file name rectangle and it will bring you back to when you first opened the file originally!
(btw you can set how may undos you can do by pressing ctrl+k and going to PERFORMANCE, 1000 is the max!)
